Crystal Castles for Atari 2600 is an action-packed maze game that follows Bentley Bear on a quest through a series of magical castles filled with treasures and dangers. Players must collect gems scattered throughout each castle while avoiding enemies and navigating increasingly complex layouts.
The objective is to gather every gem on a stage to advance to the next castle. Along the way, players encounter a variety of enemies that patrol the maze and attempt to stop Bentley's progress. Quick reflexes, careful movement, and strategic route planning are essential for collecting gems efficiently while staying out of danger.
As players progress through the adventure, castle designs become more challenging and enemies grow more aggressive, creating a rewarding test of skill and concentration. Bonus items and special opportunities add variety and encourage players to pursue higher scores.
