Fight through a dark fantasy world filled with monsters and chaos in Battle Axe for the Nintendo Switch, the retro-inspired arcade action game developed by Bitmap Bureau and legendary pixel artist Henk Nieborg. Inspired by classic fantasy arcade games of the 1980s and 1990s, Battle Axe delivers fast-paced hack-and-slash gameplay, detailed pixel art visuals, and old-school cooperative action.
Players choose from a roster of heroes including warriors, rogues, and spellcasters as they battle through dangerous lands overrun by evil forces controlled by the tyrannical sorceress Etheldred. Armed with melee weapons, ranged attacks, and magical abilities, players fight through forests, ruins, dungeons, and enemy strongholds filled with deadly creatures and challenging boss encounters.
