Pokemon Platinum Version - Nintendo DS is a role-playing adventure set in the Sinnoh region, offering an expanded version of the story originally told in Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. Players begin by choosing Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup as their first partner Pokémon before traveling across Sinnoh, challenging Gym Leaders, battling Team Galactic, and uncovering the mystery surrounding the legendary Pokémon Giratina.
Gameplay centers on exploring, catching, training, and battling Pokémon while introducing new areas, revised encounters, and additional story content. The Distortion World plays a major role in the adventure, featuring unusual environments and puzzles tied to Giratina. Pokemon Platinum also expands the regional Pokédex and includes the Battle Frontier, where players can test carefully trained teams across a variety of challenging battle facilities after progressing through the main game.
