In Sonic Advance, Sega’s iconic mascot makes his historic debut on a Nintendo platform, blending classic 16-bit speed with the modern "Sonic Adventure" art style. The story follows Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose as they race across the world to prevent Dr. Eggman from collecting the seven Chaos Emeralds to power his ultimate weapon. Spanning nine distinct zones—including the sun-drenched Neo Green Hill, the gravity-defying Cosmic Angel, and the final X-Zone orbital fortress—the game captures the momentum-based platforming that defined the series' golden era.
Each character offers a unique mechanical twist on the journey: Sonic retains his peerless speed and grinding ability; Tails can fly to bypass vertical obstacles; Knuckles can glide and climb walls; and Amy, appearing for the first time in 2D, uses her Piko Piko Hammer for high-reaching jumps and melee combat. A standout feature is the Tiny Chao Garden, a built-in virtual pet simulator where you can raise a Chao using rings earned in the main stages. This garden is fully compatible with the Nintendo GameCube via a Link Cable, allowing you to transfer your pets into Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for deeper training and evolution.
