Description
Description
Toonsylvania - Game Boy Color is a side-scrolling platform game based on the DreamWorks animated television series. Players take control of Igor, the eccentric assistant to mad scientist Dr. Vic Frankenstein, as he travels through spooky environments inspired by the show’s mix of monsters, slapstick comedy, and classic horror themes.
Gameplay centers on running, jumping, avoiding hazards, defeating enemies, and collecting items while progressing through a series of colorful 2D stages. Igor must navigate platforms, traps, and creatures while using his abilities to overcome obstacles and reach the end of each level. The handheld format adapts the cartoon’s characters and gothic setting into a straightforward platforming adventure designed for portable play.
Released for Game Boy Color in 2000 and published by Ubisoft, Toonsylvania brings the short-lived DreamWorks animated series to Nintendo’s handheld system. Its cartoon-inspired visuals, monster-themed environments, and traditional side-scrolling gameplay make it an interesting choice for fans of licensed platformers, retro animation, and Game Boy Color collecting.
