In Mega Man 2, Dr. Wily takes his villainy across the timeline by stealing an experimental time machine to kidnap Mega Man’s future self. He remodels the future hero into Quint, a green, jackhammer-wielding rival who serves as the game's unique penultimate boss. The story concludes aboard the Wily Station, an orbital fortress where Wily plans to finalize his conquest of Earth.
The gameplay delivers a portable remix of the NES classics, featuring a split roster of Robot Masters. You first face the quartet from NES Mega Man 2—Metal, Air, Crash, and Wood Man—before descending into Wily’s stronghold to tackle four from Mega Man 3—Needle, Magnet, Hard, and Top Man. A standout feature is the Sakugarne, the pogo-stick weapon you loot from Quint, and the addition of the Slide and Rush Marine, providing enhanced mobility through the game’s original level layouts.
