Game Boy Pocket System - Yellow
Description
Description
Game Boy Pocket System - Yellow is a compact revision of Nintendo's original Game Boy handheld, offering the same classic portable gaming experience in a smaller and lighter design. The bright yellow shell gives the system a distinctive appearance, making it an appealing option for both players and collectors looking to enjoy Nintendo's iconic 8-bit handheld library.
The Game Boy Pocket features a 2.6-inch monochrome LCD with improved contrast and reduced screen ghosting compared with the original Game Boy. Its streamlined design is noticeably smaller than the original hardware while retaining the familiar directional pad, A and B buttons, Start, and Select controls. The system operates on two AAA batteries and includes a headphone jack for private listening.
Released by Nintendo in 1996, the Game Boy Pocket plays standard original Game Boy cartridges, providing access to a massive library that includes favorites such as Pokémon Red and Blue, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Super Mario Land, Kirby's Dream Land, and Tetris. It does not feature a backlit screen, maintaining the reflective display technology of Nintendo's early handheld systems.
Whether you're building a Nintendo handheld collection, revisiting original Game Boy favorites, or looking for a more compact way to experience the system's classic library, the Game Boy Pocket System - Yellow combines unmistakable Nintendo design with decades of portable gaming history.
Refurbished: Cleaned inside and out with attention to the cartridge slot, power/reset switches, buttons, and screen. Parts and components like display, screen cover, battery door, capacitors, and other components are replaced as needed.
- Good Condition: Console is fully functional and in overall good cosmetic condition. It may show light signs of wear such as minor scuffs, small scratches, or slight discoloration from normal use, but nothing that significantly impacts its appearance.
- Acceptable Condition: Console is fully functional but shows noticeable cosmetic wear. This may include dents, cracks, scratches, stickers or residue, marker/ink, or heavier discoloration. These flaws are cosmetic only and do not affect performance.
