Description

Final Fantasy III - Famicom, released in Japan as ファイナルファンタジーIII, is a role-playing adventure that follows four young heroes chosen by the Crystal of Light to restore balance to a world threatened by darkness. Their journey spans towns, castles, caves, floating continents, and distant lands as they seek the power of the elemental crystals and confront increasingly dangerous enemies.

Gameplay uses traditional turn-based battles while introducing an expanded Job system that allows characters to change classes and develop different abilities throughout the adventure. Jobs include Warrior, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon, Summoner, Ninja, Sage, and many others, giving players considerable freedom in building their party. Exploration includes overworld travel, airships, dungeons, equipment upgrades, magic, and challenging boss encounters.

Developed and published by Square in 1990, Final Fantasy III was originally released exclusively for the Japanese Family Computer and features Japanese-language text. Its flexible Job system, ambitious 8-bit world, memorable soundtrack, and importance to the evolution of the Final Fantasy series make it an appealing choice for RPG fans, import enthusiasts, and Famicom collectors.
