Castlevania: Dracula X for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is a challenging side-scrolling action game that follows vampire hunter Richter Belmont in his battle against Count Dracula and the forces of darkness. After Dracula is resurrected and monsters attack Richter's home, Richter takes up the legendary Vampire Killer whip and sets out to rescue the kidnapped villagers and destroy the vampire lord once again.
Fight through gothic castles, burning villages, clock towers, and other dangerous environments filled with skeletons, bats, armored enemies, supernatural creatures, and deadly traps. Richter uses his whip as his primary weapon while collecting classic Castlevania sub-weapons including holy water, axes, crosses, knives, and stopwatches. Careful timing and precise platforming are essential, particularly during the game's demanding enemy encounters and boss battles.
Developed and published by Konami and released for the Super Nintendo in 1995, Castlevania: Dracula X is a distinct adaptation of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood rather than a direct port, featuring redesigned stages and gameplay created specifically for the SNES.
