Description

Doraemon - Famicom, released in Japan as ドラえもん, is an action-adventure game based on the popular Japanese manga and anime series. Players control Doraemon as he travels through a series of colorful worlds, using his gadgets to rescue friends and overcome enemies, obstacles, and hazards inspired by the franchise.

Gameplay changes style across different sections of the game, combining side-scrolling action, overhead exploration, and shooting sequences. Doraemon can use a variety of familiar gadgets and weapons to defeat enemies and progress through stages, while each area introduces its own objectives and challenges. The shifting gameplay styles give the adventure more variety than a traditional single-format platformer.

Developed and published by Hudson Soft in 1986, Doraemon was released for the Japanese Family Computer and features Japanese-language text and presentation. Its multiple gameplay styles, recognizable characters, colorful 8-bit design, and connection to one of Japan’s most iconic entertainment franchises make it an appealing choice for Doraemon fans, import game enthusiasts, and Famicom collectors.
