Description

Driver: Parallel Lines - Xbox is an open-world driving and action game set entirely in New York City across two different eras. Players take control of TK, a young getaway driver who builds a criminal reputation in 1978 before the story jumps ahead to 2006, where he returns to the city seeking revenge against the people who betrayed him.

Gameplay places a stronger emphasis on driving than its predecessor, with story missions built around high-speed chases, escapes, deliveries, and criminal jobs throughout the city. Players can also leave vehicles and engage in third-person gunfights, complete optional side jobs, and explore New York between missions. Garages serve as important hubs for storing vehicles and preparing for future jobs as the story progresses through both time periods.

Developed by Reflections Interactive and published by Atari in 2006, Driver: Parallel Lines is the fourth main entry in the Driver series. Its two-era New York setting, period-specific vehicles and atmosphere, open-world structure, and renewed focus on driving make it a distinctive follow-up to DRIV3R and a notable original Xbox release.
