Killer7 - PlayStation 2 is a surreal action-adventure that follows Harman Smith and the seven personalities of the Killer7, a group of assassins drawn into a bizarre conflict involving terrorism, political conspiracy, and monstrous enemies known as Heaven Smiles. Players switch between characters including Garcian, Dan, Kaede, Coyote, Kevin, Mask, and Con, each bringing different abilities and weapons to the mission.
Gameplay combines guided third-person movement with first-person aiming and shooting. Players scan environments to reveal Heaven Smiles, target enemy weak points, solve puzzles, and switch between personalities to overcome obstacles that require specific abilities. Each assassin handles differently, with unique firearms, movement traits, and special skills, while the game’s unusual presentation and deliberately restricted navigation create a style unlike most traditional shooters.
Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Capcom in 2005, Killer7 was directed by Goichi Suda and became known for its cel-shaded visual style, unconventional storytelling, and experimental game design. Its distinctive atmosphere, mature narrative, memorable cast, and cult status make it an appealing choice for fans of unusual action games and PlayStation 2 collectors.
