MadWorld - Wii is a stylized action game set in Varrigan City, where a deadly competition known as DeathWatch has transformed the city into a violent battleground. Players control Jack Cayman, a mysterious contestant armed with a retractable chainsaw, as he fights through gangs, assassins, and larger-than-life enemies while uncovering the truth behind the tournament.
Gameplay focuses on close-range combat, environmental attacks, and creative scoring. Players punch, grab, throw, and dismember enemies while using objects throughout each stage to build higher point totals. The Wii Remote and Nunchuk are incorporated into attacks and finishing moves, giving combat a physical feel. Arena-style challenges, boss fights, and Bloodbath Challenge events add variety between standard encounters.
Developed by PlatinumGames and published by SEGA in 2009, MadWorld is especially known for its striking black-and-white comic-book art style accented with red.
