Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Nintendo 3DS is an action-adventure game inspired by the 2014 live-action film reboot of the iconic franchise. Set in a darker, more grounded version of New York City, the story follows Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael as they emerge from the shadows to stop the Foot Clan and their ruthless leader, Shredder. As the city faces rising crime and corruption, the Turtles must work together to protect the streets while remaining hidden from the human world.
Players take control of all four Ninja Turtles, switching between them to take advantage of their distinct weapons, combat styles, and abilities. Gameplay blends beat ’em up combat with exploration and light puzzle-solving, as players navigate urban environments, sewer systems, and enemy strongholds. Each Turtle’s personality is reflected in their fighting approach, from Leonardo’s balanced swordplay to Raphael’s aggressive close-range attacks. The Nintendo 3DS version supports both 2D and 3D gameplay perspectives, adding variety to level design and combat encounters.
