Driver: Renegade - Nintendo 3DS
Description
Description
Driver: Renegade for the Nintendo 3DS reimagines the classic Driver series with a more cinematic, story-driven approach centered on undercover work and gritty street-level action. The game follows Tanner, an undercover cop navigating a crime-ridden city inspired by New York, as he infiltrates dangerous criminal organizations. What begins as a routine operation quickly spirals into a deeper conspiracy, forcing Tanner to balance his cover while pursuing justice from inside the criminal underworld.
Gameplay blends high-speed driving with on-foot action, setting it apart from earlier entries in the series. Players race through crowded city streets, engage in intense car chases, and step out of vehicles to fight enemies using melee combat and firearms. The Nintendo 3DS version adapts these mechanics into a more compact format, with mission-based progression and environments designed for portable play. Driving remains a core focus, emphasizing sharp turns, precision handling, and cinematic crashes that reflect the franchise’s roots.
Often referred to simply as Driver Renegade, this Nintendo 3DS release takes a darker, more action-heavy direction compared to traditional Driver titles. With its urban atmosphere, undercover narrative, and mix of driving and combat, Driver: Renegade offers a handheld experience that blends crime drama with arcade-style action, appealing to fans of open-city thrillers and high-speed pursuits.
