BattleTanx: Global Assault for the Nintendo 64 is a vehicle combat game set in a post-apocalyptic world where heavily armed tanks battle for control of what remains of civilization. Continuing the story of the original BattleTanx, players once again follow Griffin Spade as he fights against rival armies and a new threat while protecting his family and struggling to survive in a devastated America.
Take control of multiple armored vehicles equipped with machine guns, missiles, mines, and other powerful weapons as you blast through enemy tanks and destructible environments. Different vehicles offer their own combinations of speed, armor, and firepower, allowing you to adjust your strategy for each mission. The campaign takes players through ruined cities and other war-torn locations filled with enemy forces, objectives, power-ups, and intense armored battles.
Developed and published by 3DO in 1999, BattleTanx: Global Assault expands on its predecessor with additional vehicles, environments, weapons, and multiplayer options.
