Description
Description
Nintendo DSi System – Lime Green (Japanese Version) is a handheld gaming console featuring a vibrant lime green finish and the enhanced features introduced with the DSi line. This model includes dual cameras, a slimmer design compared to the DS Lite, and access to downloadable titles through the Nintendo DSi Shop (service now discontinued). With its bright color and compact form, it stands out as a unique variation of the Nintendo DS family.
This system plays physical Nintendo DS game cartridges from any region, meaning most standard DS games from North America, Europe, and Japan will work without issue. Titles like Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros., Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Black, and White are fully compatible regardless of region.
However, DSi-enhanced and DSi-exclusive games are region-locked. This means certain titles that include additional DSi features—or games released only on the DSi—must match the console’s region. For this Japanese system, those games must be Japanese versions to work properly.
What to look for:
- Standard Nintendo DS cartridges: Region-free and will work on this system
- DSi-enhanced games: May have region restrictions for certain features
- DSi-exclusive games (rare): Must be Japanese region to function
- System language: Primarily Japanese, which may affect menus and settings
With its distinctive Lime Green design and broad compatibility with the Nintendo DS library, this Japanese Nintendo DSi is a great option for collectors or players looking for a unique handheld, especially those interested in Japanese imports or region-specific titles.
Refurbished: Cleaned inside and out with attention to the cartridge slot, power/reset switches, buttons, and screen. Parts and components like display, screen cover, battery door, battery, capacitors, and other components are replaced as needed.
- Good Condition: Console is fully functional and in overall good cosmetic condition. It may show light signs of wear such as minor scuffs, small scratches, or slight discoloration from normal use, but nothing that significantly impacts its appearance.
- Acceptable Condition: Console is fully functional but shows noticeable cosmetic wear. This may include dents, cracks, scratches, stickers or residue, marker/ink, or heavier discoloration. These flaws are cosmetic only and do not affect performance.
