Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS is the definitive version of the fifth entry in Capcom's beloved tactical action-RPG series, combining both Team Colonel and Team ProtoMan storylines from the Game Boy Advance into one enhanced Nintendo DS package. Set in a near-future world where the internet and real life intertwine, you'll control Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, as they battle a new cyber threat called Nebula.
The game blends real-time combat with strategic deck-building mechanics in the signature Battle Chip system. Fights take place on a 6x3 grid where players must dodge enemy attacks while launching chips collected digital abilities ranging from swords and cannons to healing programs and powerful summons. As you progress, you'll build a folder of Battle Chips tailored to your playstyle, combining timing, positioning, and strategy in every encounter.
Double Team DS brings numerous enhancements over the GBA versions, including improved graphics and sound, additional chips, crossover features with MegaMan Zero 3, touch-screen integration, and a fully voiced Operator Navi system. You'll assemble and fight alongside a unique team of Navis, participate in Liberation Missions (special tactical battles), and uncover a deeper conspiracy within the cyber world.
