Description
Description
Transformers: Autobots - Nintendo DS is an action game based on the 2007 live-action Transformers film, placing players on the side of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the Autobots in their fight against the Decepticons. The story follows the struggle for the AllSpark while expanding on the movie with additional missions, locations, and battles created for the handheld game.
Gameplay combines third-person combat, driving, exploration, and transformation between robot and vehicle forms. Players can scan vehicles found throughout the environment to unlock alternate forms for their custom Transformer, then use different vehicle types to travel across open areas and complete missions. Combat includes melee attacks, ranged weapons, and battles against enemy Transformers, while side objectives and collectibles provide additional activities outside the main story.
Developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision in 2007, Transformers: Autobots was released alongside the separate Transformers: Decepticons version for Nintendo DS, with each offering a different faction perspective. Its customizable Transformer, vehicle-scanning system, open-area missions, and Autobot-focused campaign make it an appealing choice for Transformers fans and Nintendo DS collectors.
