Description
Persona 5 Royal is an expanded version of the acclaimed JRPG, following Joker and the Phantom Thieves as they change hearts and battle corruption in Tokyo. With new characters, storylines, and gameplay improvements, this definitive edition offers stylish turn-based combat, deep social mechanics, and over 100 hours of gameplay.
Persona 5 Royal for Nintendo Switch is the definitive version of Atlus’ critically acclaimed JRPG, bringing its stylish turn-based combat, deep social mechanics, and unforgettable story to Nintendo’s handheld hybrid for the first time. As the enhanced edition of Persona 5, Royal adds new characters, expanded story content, extra dungeons, and significant gameplay improvements—making it the ultimate way to experience this modern RPG masterpiece on the go.
You play as a high school student who becomes a Phantom Thief, living a double life by day attending classes and building relationships, and by night infiltrating the distorted Palaces of corrupt adults to steal their twisted desires. Alongside a group of outcast friends, you'll awaken powerful Personas, battle in surreal cognitive worlds, and challenge a society that has lost its sense of justice.
Persona 5 Royal introduces new areas like Kichijoji, additional story chapters including a whole third semester, and a brand-new party member, Kasumi Yoshizawa. The revamped battle system includes new Personas, balance updates, and Showtime attacks—flashy team combos that keep fights fresh and strategic. You’ll also spend time managing your calendar, boosting social stats, and deepening Confidant bonds, which unlock new abilities both in and out of combat.
Optimized for Nintendo Switch, the game runs smoothly in both docked and handheld mode, with sharp visuals and a jazzy soundtrack that perfectly complements its sleek, anime-inspired aesthetic. With over 100 hours of content, rich storytelling, and meaningful choices, Persona 5 Royal remains one of the most immersive RPGs of all time.
Whether you’re new to the series or returning to experience everything Royal has to offer, this is the definitive Phantom Thieves journey—anytime, anywhere.
