Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Wii is a crossover fighting game that brings together characters from across Nintendo history along with guest fighters from other major game franchises. The roster includes Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Samus, Fox, Donkey Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog, Solid Snake, and many others, with battles taking place on stages inspired by a wide range of games and series.
Gameplay centers on knocking opponents off the stage rather than depleting a traditional health bar, with damage percentages increasing how far characters are launched by attacks. Players can use standard moves, special attacks, items, stage hazards, and powerful Final Smashes while competing in free-for-all or team battles. The game also includes the Subspace Emissary, a story-driven adventure mode with platforming, combat, bosses, and cooperative play.
Developed by Sora Ltd. and Game Arts and published by Nintendo in 2008, Super Smash Bros. Brawl expanded the series with a much larger roster, extensive single-player content, and new crossover characters. Its varied stages, broad character lineup, multiplayer focus, and substantial adventure mode make it a standout fighting game for Wii collectors and Nintendo fans.
