Description
In the 1989 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the four brothers—Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael—take to the streets of New York City to rescue April O'Neil and their mentor Splinter from the Shredder. The story moves from the sewers to the Hudson River, culminating in a final infiltration of the massive Technodrome.
The gameplay is a notoriously difficult hybrid of top-down exploration and side-scrolling action. You can switch between Turtles at any time, which is essential as each has a unique health bar and weapon range; Donatello’s long-reaching Bo staff is often the only way to survive the game's brutal difficulty. You'll navigate hazards like the infamous electric seaweed in the Dam level and hunt for the hidden Technodrome in the final stages. While many players never made it past the time-limited bomb defusal mission, those who did were treated to intense boss battles against Bebop, Rocksteady, and Shredder.
