Description
Description
The Official PlayStation Eye Camera (Model SLEH-00448) is a high-performance digital camera peripheral designed to enable motion tracking, gesture recognition, and voice communication for the PlayStation 3 ecosystem. This device features a sophisticated two-position zoom lens that can be manually adjusted for a 56° field of view (close-up) or a 75° wide-angle view for full-body tracking. It provides a fast frame rate of 60fps at 640x480 resolution and up to 120fps at 320x240, ensuring precise tracking for interactive applications.
The camera is an essential component for PlayStation Move gaming, accurately tracking the illuminated orbs of the Move controllers to translate physical movements into in-game actions. Beyond motion control, its integrated four-microphone array enables background noise suppression and echo cancellation for crystal-clear voice chat and multi-directional voice tracking. It is the definitive tool for immersive software like EyePet, SingStar, and The Eye of Judgment, and can even be utilized as a high-frame-rate webcam for PC applications with third-party drivers.
