Description
Description
Alice: Madness Returns - PlayStation 3 is a dark action-adventure game that reimagines Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland through the troubled perspective of Alice Liddell. Years after the events of American McGee’s Alice, Alice continues to struggle with memories of the fire that destroyed her home and killed her family. As her mental state deteriorates, she returns to a twisted Wonderland that reflects both her trauma and the forces threatening her in the real world.
Gameplay combines third-person platforming, exploration, puzzle solving, and combat across surreal environments filled with distorted versions of familiar Wonderland characters and locations. Alice uses weapons such as the Vorpal Blade, Pepper Grinder, Hobby Horse, and Teapot Cannon, each with different combat applications. She can also shrink to discover hidden paths and clues, use jumping and gliding abilities to navigate elaborate platforming sections, and upgrade weapons as the adventure progresses.
Developed by Spicy Horse and published by Electronic Arts in 2011, Alice: Madness Returns is known for its gothic art direction, imaginative environments, and darker interpretation of the Alice in Wonderland mythology. Its distinctive visual style, unusual story, and blend of action and platforming make it an appealing choice for fans of atmospheric adventures and PlayStation 3 collectors.
