Description
Description
Ghostbusters: The Video Game for PlayStation 3 serves as a continuation of the beloved Ghostbusters films, bringing together the original cast for an all-new supernatural adventure. Set several years after the events of Ghostbusters II, players join Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore as the newest recruit to the Ghostbusters team, helping defend New York City from a growing paranormal threat.
Armed with iconic ghost-hunting equipment such as the Proton Pack, Ghost Trap, and P.K.E. Meter, players investigate haunted locations, battle a wide variety of ghosts, and capture supernatural entities throughout the city. Combat combines action and strategy, requiring players to weaken ghosts with proton streams before trapping them successfully.
The adventure takes players through memorable locations inspired by the films while introducing new environments, enemies, and storylines. Featuring the voices and likenesses of the original cast members, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson, the game captures the humor, atmosphere, and spirit of the classic movies.
Developed by Terminal Reality and published by Atari, Ghostbusters: The Video Game was praised for its authentic presentation and is often considered the closest thing to a third Ghostbusters film. Its engaging story, cooperative ghost-hunting action, and faithful recreation of the franchise make it an essential addition to any PlayStation 3 collection.
