Description
Description
Persona 5 for PlayStation 4 delivers the original version of Atlus’ acclaimed Japanese role-playing game, introducing players to a bold, stylish story set in modern-day Tokyo. The game follows a high school student who, after being wrongfully accused and placed on probation, discovers the ability to enter a supernatural realm known as the Metaverse. There, he becomes the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, a secret group that infiltrates the twisted Palaces of corrupt adults to change their hearts and bring their crimes to light.
The narrative revolves around a growing cast of rebellious allies, including the passionate Ann Takamaki, the sharp-minded student council member Makoto Niijima, the eccentric artist Yusuke Kitagawa, and the reclusive yet brilliant hacker Futaba Sakura. Alongside the talking cat-like companion Morgana, the team balances everyday student life with dangerous dungeon exploration. Combat centers on turn-based battles where players summon Personas—powerful manifestations of the characters’ inner selves inspired by mythological and historical figures—to exploit enemy weaknesses and gain the upper hand.
Often called simply Persona 5 or the original P5 release, this edition preserves the core experience that helped redefine the series for a new generation. Featuring a striking red-and-black visual style, a memorable acid jazz soundtrack, and a unique blend of life simulation and dungeon crawling, Persona 5 offers a lengthy, character-driven adventure that explores themes of rebellion, justice, and self-discovery on the PlayStation 4.
