The Outer Worlds - PlayStation 4
Description
Description
Lost in transit, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. The Outer Worlds for the PlayStation 4 is the award-winning single-player RPG from the masters at Obsidian Entertainment. Set in a future where megacorporations rule every aspect of life, this title is a mandatory essential for fans of Fallout: New Vegas and PS4 collectors who want a character-driven space western where your every choice determines the fate of a star system on original hardware.
Ditch the linear paths and master the freedom of the Halcyon frontier. The Outer Worlds is a masterclass in branching narrative design; you can be the hero the colonies need, a corporate shill, or even a psychopathic marauder—the game tracks your actions to influence the story and your reputation among various factions. The gameplay is a visceral mix of first-person combat and deep role-playing, featuring "Tactical Time Dilation" (TTD) to slow down time and pinpoint enemy weak spots. This entry introduces the innovative Flaw System, where the game tracks your repeated failures and offers a unique debuff in exchange for an immediate character perk, making your hero feel truly human. The PS4 version is highly regarded for its vibrant, retro-futuristic art style and smooth performance, running at a dynamic 1080p on base consoles and upsampling to 4K from 1440p on the PS4 Pro. Whether you’re recruiting a crew of diverse companions with their own personal quests or tinkering with a customized arsenal of science weapons, this title delivers a vibrant and razor-sharp satirical experience. Welcome to the future—this title delivers the ultimate intergalactic showdown on your original PlayStation 4 hardware.
