Description
Description
CART World Series for PlayStation delivers high-speed open-wheel racing based on the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) series, featuring officially licensed drivers, teams, and circuits from one of North America's premier motorsports championships. Players experience the thrill of Indy car-style racing as they compete on a variety of oval tracks, street circuits, and permanent road courses.
The game offers multiple modes, including single races, full championship seasons, and time trials, allowing players to test their skills against a competitive field of professional drivers. Success requires mastering high-speed cornering, drafting, braking points, and race strategy while adapting to the unique demands of each track.
Players can race on faithfully recreated circuits inspired by the real CART calendar, with each venue presenting its own challenges through varying layouts, surface conditions, and racing styles. Responsive controls and realistic vehicle handling strike a balance between simulation and accessibility, making the game enjoyable for both newcomers and experienced racing fans.
Developed by Saffire and published by Midway Games, CART World Series captures the excitement and speed of late-1990s open-wheel racing. Its licensed content, diverse track selection, and competitive championship gameplay make it a strong addition to any original PlayStation racing game collection.
