Compete in Exhibition, Season, Playoff, and Franchise-style modes while calling offensive and defensive plays from expanded playbooks designed to reflect real NFL strategies. Execute precision passes, powerful running plays, goal-line stands, and game-changing special teams plays as you battle for the Super Bowl. Multiple difficulty levels, customizable settings, and multiplayer support make every matchup exciting whether you're facing the AI or a friend.
Developed by EA Tiburon and published by Electronic Arts in 1997, Madden NFL 98 built upon the success of its predecessors with improved player models, enhanced artificial intelligence, and more responsive controls. Featuring commentary from legendary coach John Madden and broadcaster Pat Summerall, it delivered an immersive presentation that helped define football gaming on the original PlayStation.
Whether you're expanding your PlayStation collection, collecting classic sports games, or revisiting one of the defining football titles of the late 1990s, Madden NFL 98 delivers timeless gridiron action, strategic gameplay, and the excitement of professional football.
