Description

Monster Seed - PlayStation is a role-playing game centered on raising and battling a wide variety of creatures. Players take the role of a young monster trainer who becomes involved in a larger adventure while traveling through towns, dungeons, and other areas filled with enemies and collectible monsters. The game combines traditional fantasy RPG elements with a creature-training system that encourages players to build and develop their own team.

Gameplay focuses on creating, raising, and managing monsters before sending them into strategic battles. Different creatures possess their own strengths, abilities, and elemental traits, allowing players to experiment with team combinations and tactics. Monsters can grow stronger through combat and training, while exploration provides opportunities to find items, encounter new challenges, and expand the player’s collection. Battles require careful positioning and use of each monster’s abilities rather than relying entirely on the main character.

Developed by NK System and published by Sunsoft in North America in 1998, Monster Seed offers an unusual blend of monster raising and tactical role-playing mechanics. Its creature-focused progression, colorful fantasy presentation, and distinctive battle system make it an appealing choice for fans of monster-collecting RPGs and original PlayStation collectors.
