Description
Description
Persona, originally released in North America as Revelations: Persona, is the first entry in Atlus' acclaimed Persona series for the original PlayStation. Set in modern-day Japan, the game follows a group of high school students who awaken supernatural powers known as Personas after a mysterious ritual. As reality begins to unravel, they must confront demons, uncover hidden conspiracies, and determine the fate of their city.
Built upon the foundation of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, Persona features first-person dungeon exploration, strategic turn-based combat, and a deep Persona fusion system that allows players to recruit, create, and strengthen powerful beings inspired by mythology and folklore from around the world. Character choices, party composition, and exploration all play important roles throughout the adventure, offering multiple story paths and endings.
Originally released in Japan in 1996 and localized for North America in 1997 as Revelations: Persona, the game introduced players to a series that would become one of the most celebrated RPG franchises in gaming. While the original English release featured notable localization changes, it remains an important piece of PlayStation and JRPG history, laying the groundwork for future classics including Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5.
Whether you're expanding your original PlayStation collection or experiencing the origins of one of gaming's most beloved role-playing series, Persona (Revelations: Persona) delivers a memorable blend of supernatural storytelling, strategic combat, and classic JRPG gameplay.
