Description
Description
Tales of Destiny II - PlayStation is a story-driven Japanese RPG that follows Reid Hershel and Farah Oersted as they become involved in a conflict spanning the worlds of Inferia and Celestia. Their journey begins after meeting a mysterious girl named Meredy, sending the group across towns, ruins, and dungeons while uncovering a threat that could endanger both worlds.
Gameplay combines exploration and character progression with the series’ real-time Linear Motion Battle System. Instead of traditional turn-based combat, players directly control a character during battles, moving across a 2D battlefield while using normal attacks, special techniques, spells, and coordinated party actions. Equipment, skills, cooking, and character development add additional depth, while the adventure features a large world filled with optional discoveries and character interactions.
Developed by Wolf Team and published by Namco in North America in 2001, Tales of Destiny II is the localized title of the game originally released in Japan as Tales of Eternia. Its fast-paced combat, colorful presentation, and character-focused storytelling make it an appealing choice for Tales fans, classic JRPG enthusiasts, and PlayStation collectors.
