Description
Description
Enter the tournament that started the carnage with the original Twisted Metal for the PlayStation. Created by SingleTrac, this 1995 breakthrough hit single-handedly defined the vehicular combat genre, blending dark storytelling with explosive arena-based brawls. It is a mandatory "holy grail" for PS1 collectors and anyone looking to experience the gritty, high-stakes origins of Sweet Tooth and Calypso’s twisted world.
Ditch the finish lines and master the 12 unique death-machines, each with its own specialized "Special Weapon" and driver backstory. From the ice cream truck of the legendary Sweet Tooth to the heavy-duty power of Warthog, Twisted Metal features six massive, fully-destructible arenas set across a dystopian Los Angeles. The gameplay focuses on tactical urban combat, where you must scavenge for missiles, napalm, and turbo boosts to be the last survivor in the competition. With its moody atmosphere, 1st-person and 3rd-person perspectives, and the iconic 2-player head-to-head split-screen mode, this title delivers the raw and definitive car-combat experience that put the PlayStation on the map.
