Description
Description
The Official Sony PSP Composite AV Cable is a specialized video output accessory designed to connect your handheld console to standard-definition displays. This wired solution features a proprietary PSP dock connector on one end and a standard three-plug RCA interface (Yellow for video; Red/White for stereo audio) on the other. Measuring approximately 7 to 8 feet in length, it provides a comfortable distance for viewing media on a larger screen.
Functionality is primarily focused on media playback, including movies, photos, and music, which can be output to any TV with composite inputs. However, there is a significant technical distinction regarding gameplay: while PlayStation 1 (PS1) classics will output via this cable, standard PSP games generally do not support video output over composite on the PSP-2000 model due to the lack of a progressive scan signal. PSP-3000 users may have broader compatibility, but most software still requires a component connection for full-screen gaming.
The cable is engineered with high-quality shielding to minimize signal interference and ensure stable 480i video transmission. This specific model is strictly compatible with the PSP-2000 (Slim & Lite) and PSP-3000 (Bright) series; it is technically incompatible with the original PSP-1000 due to its lack of internal video-out hardware.
