Onimusha: Warlords - PlayStation 2
Description
Description
Step into a world of dark sorcery and sharp steel in the legendary Onimusha: Warlords for the PlayStation 2. Originally conceived as a "ninja version" of Resident Evil, this action-horror masterpiece blended cinematic fixed-camera angles with lightning-fast swordplay. As the first title on the platform to reach million-seller status, it is an essential piece of history for any PS2 collection.
Set during the Sengoku period of feudal Japan, you play as the master swordsman Samanosuke Akechi on a desperate mission to rescue Princess Yuki from a horde of demonic Genma. Master the art of the Iaijutsu strike and harness the power of the Oni Gauntlet to absorb the souls of fallen enemies, allowing you to upgrade your elemental blades: the lightning-infused Shiden, the fire-based Kouen, and the wind-cutting Arashi. With its pre-rendered backgrounds, challenging puzzles, and the haunting presence of the resurrected warlord Oda Nobunaga, Onimusha: Warlords delivers a stylish, atmospheric supernatural epic that defined the early days of the PlayStation 2.
