Killzone: Liberation for PSP is an action shooter that continues the conflict between the ISA and the invading Helghast forces. Players take control of Jan Templar as he fights through war-torn environments, rescues captured allies, and works to stop a dangerous Helghast commander from gaining control of powerful military technology.
Unlike the first-person gameplay of the original Killzone, Liberation uses an angled third-person perspective that gives players a wider view of the battlefield. Combat combines fast shooting, tactical positioning, cover, grenades, and a selection of weapons suited for different enemy types and mission objectives.
The campaign includes varied stages, armored vehicles, boss encounters, and upgradeable equipment that expands Templar’s abilities as the story progresses. Players must navigate fortified positions, destroy enemy defenses, and make careful use of the environment to survive increasingly difficult encounters.
Designed specifically for the PlayStation Portable, Killzone: Liberation delivers a focused handheld entry in the series with responsive action, a strong science-fiction setting, and mission-based gameplay that works well for both short sessions and extended play.
