Description
Description
Resistance: Retribution for PSP is a third-person shooter set in the dark, alternate-history universe of the Resistance series. Taking place between the events of Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2, the game follows James Grayson, a former British Royal Marine seeking revenge against the Chimera after the destruction of his home. His journey takes players across war-torn locations in Europe, including England, the Netherlands, and Germany, as humanity fights for survival against the alien invasion.
Gameplay shifts the series from first-person to an over-the-shoulder perspective, designed specifically for the PSP’s controls. Players wield a wide variety of signature Resistance weapons, including the Bullseye, Auger, and Fareye sniper rifle, each with alternate firing modes that encourage tactical combat. The game also features a robust multiplayer mode, supporting online battles that add replay value beyond the campaign.
A unique feature allows Resistance: Retribution to connect to a PlayStation 3 running Resistance 2, unlocking bonus content and enabling a first-person aiming option. With its strong narrative, polished gameplay, and ambitious scope for a handheld title, Resistance: Retribution stands as one of the most acclaimed shooters on PSP.
