Description
Description
Play your Sega Genesis Model 2 with cleaner video and clearer audio on today’s displays. This console includes the Zaxour Triple Bypass V2+ audio/video upgrade pre-installed, reducing video noise (jailbars), improving color separation, and delivering a lower-noise, properly balanced audio path—so classic soundtracks hit with the punch they deserve.
Why the Triple Bypass V2+ stands out: video and audio are routed through high-quality amplification and filtering for a crisper RGB/composite presentation and more accurate YM2612/PSG output. The result is a noticeably cleaner image and tighter, more faithful audio versus stock hardware—ideal for CRTs, professional scalers, or capture setups.
Long-term reliability service: all electrolytic capacitors are replaced (main board and RF module), and the 7805 voltage regulator is replaced to stabilize power delivery and mitigate age-related issues. Each unit is deep-cleaned inside and out; the cartridge slot, ports, and switches are serviced; and the system is function-verified for consistent power-on and stable gameplay. Normal cosmetic wear (light scuffs or small marks) may be present and does not affect performance.
Cable recommendations (Model 2 pinout): for best results, use properly shielded Genesis/Mega Drive RGB SCART cables built for the Model 2 mini-DIN from trusted makers like Retro-Access or Insurrection Industries. Prefer component? HD Retrovision’s Genesis component (YPbPr) cables plug directly into Model 2 and provide an excellent analog signal. Quality cables minimize interference and let the upgrade shine.
