Description
Description
Embark on a race against time to reach the hottest arcade in the kingdom in Alex Kidd: High-Tech World for the Sega Master System. Originally released in Japan as Anmitsu Hime, this title was uniquely re-skinned to feature Alex Kidd, blending traditional adventure puzzles with classic 8-bit action. It is a mandatory essential for Alex Kidd completionists and collectors of unique SEGA history who want a departure from the standard platforming formula on original hardware.
Ditch the punching and jumping of the earlier games and master the challenging "Escape Room" style puzzles within the sprawling Prince’s Castle. Alex Kidd: High-Tech World is famous for its high-stakes first half, where you must navigate complex family dynamics, solve riddles, and locate hidden map fragments—all before the clock strikes 5:00 PM and the arcade closes! Once you escape the castle, the gameplay shifts into a traditional side-scrolling action-platformer, where you’ll battle through a forest filled with ninjas and hazards. The gameplay is a masterclass in 8-bit trial and error; you’ll need sharp observation skills and a bit of luck to uncover the path to the High-Tech Sea arcade. The Master System version is highly regarded for its detailed character portraits, vibrant color palette, and the quirky, localized humor that defined SEGA’s early library. Whether you’re searching for a hidden pass or dodging throwing stars, this title delivers a definitive and unexpectedly deep 8-bit adventure on your original Sega hardware.
