Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Super Nintendo

I have played Yoshi's island many times and I like how much easier and more forgiving and easier this 2d platform game is.

You are greeted with a music box lullaby opening involving a stork slave delivering both baby Mario and baby Luigi from an unknown clone lab in heaven. While the stork is delivering 2 babies a witch koopa named kamek flies on a broom and kidnaps baby Luigi and the stork bird while baby Mario falls on the island without a parachute. While Yoshi who's an undressed dinosaur who doesn't have any clothes on except for hiking boots goes for a walk in the forest and baby Mario slams on Yoshi's back.

How the heck does baby Mario survive the impact and would it hurt or kill both Mario and Yoshi?

Anyways Mario and Yoshi survive because it's a kids cartoon video game. Yoshi has a meeting with a group of undressed dinosaur Yoshi's who agree to carry Mario to baby Bowsers castle though peril and dangerous terrain and monsters.

This gameplay let's you play as an undressed dinosaur Yoshi wearing a saddle and hiking boots having baby Mario riding his back. You get to jump and use your flutter kick jump which makes it so much easier to jump over pits, lava and spikes. I like that you can use a frog tongue and Yoshi poops out eggs which the player can fire eggs at enemies and get 5 flowers, 20 red coins, 30 jumping stars wearing shoes. I like how funny this game is and how rated e10 kid friendly this game is.

There are some annoying auto scrolling levels are including the infamous poochy ain't stupid level. And if the enemy hits you baby Mario gets in a floating bubble and cries very loud and annoying which I have a gripe with.

There are some funny animations including Yoshi deaths involving Yoshi falling to his death, Yoshi falling and getting impaled by spikes or crushed to death. And the embarrassing pain powered leap Yoshi burning his butt on the lava gritting his teeth or with his mouth full and falling to his death which is funny to watch. Also if the timer runs out then an animation of kameks flying hooded minions kidnap Mario.

I also like the giant Burt the bashful boss bouncing with blue and white pants and Yoshi getting his pants pulled down until he's undressed and dies and deflates like a balloon. I also like the mini games including the matching card game.

I could go on and on with how great this game is but there's too much to cover. I also like the music especially the best ending when Yoshi and Mario defeats giant baby Bowser and rescue Luigi and the stork bird slave who delivers baby Mario and Luigi to their adopted mom and dad who's heads are never shown.

In conclusion I highly recommend you get the SNES cartridge, Gameboy advance version, or on my least favorite underwhelming crummy barebones SNES mini 21 games included. I hope there will be a remake of Yoshi's island on switch since the game is 1990s dated graphics. I also wish there was a Yoshi's island cartoon tv series. If you see the SNES or Gameboy advance version. Buy it because it's worth your time and money.
