Skylanders: Trap Team - Wii is an action-adventure game that expands the toys-to-life series with a new trapping mechanic and a roster of Trap Master Skylanders. Players travel through the Skylands to stop the escaped villains of Cloudcracker Prison, including the returning antagonist Kaos, while exploring colorful levels filled with enemies, puzzles, collectibles, and hidden areas.
Gameplay combines combat, platforming, exploration, and character progression using compatible Skylanders figures placed on the Traptanium Portal. Trap Team introduces elemental traps that allow defeated villains to be captured and later played as temporary allies during missions. Trap Master figures can also access special Traptanium areas, while returning Skylanders figures from earlier games remain usable. The Wii version supports local cooperative play, allowing two players to adventure together on the same system.
Developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision in 2014, Skylanders: Trap Team was the fourth main entry in the Skylanders series and built heavily on the franchise’s physical-to-digital toy concept. Its villain-trapping system, large character roster, and compatibility with earlier figures make it an appealing choice for Skylanders fans, toys-to-life collectors, and players building a Nintendo Wii library.
