PlayStation 1 Console (also known as the original Sony PlayStation or PS1) is a home video game system that helped define 3D gaming in the late 1990s. Featuring a distinctive gray design with a top-loading disc drive, the PlayStation introduced players to a new generation of games built on CD-ROM technology, allowing for larger worlds, full-motion video, and enhanced audio.
This console plays original PlayStation game discs and audio CDs, with support for a wide library of titles including Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. It supports memory cards for saving progress and uses wired controllers connected through front-facing ports.
As one of the most influential gaming systems ever released, the PlayStation 1 stands out for its extensive game library and role in shaping modern gaming, making it a staple for collectors and anyone looking to revisit classic PlayStation titles.
Refurbished: Deep cleaned inside and out with attention to the disc drive/laser, power/reset switches, fan, and AV/multi-out ports. The original laser is replaced if it doesn't play PS1 black discs. Components like capacitors, laser, fan, and other components are replaced as needed. Included controller has been cleaned and tested.
- Good Condition: Console is fully functional and in overall good cosmetic condition. It may show light signs of wear such as minor scuffs, small scratches, or slight discoloration from normal use, but nothing that significantly impacts its appearance.
-
Acceptable Condition: Console is fully functional but shows noticeable cosmetic wear. This may include dents, cracks, scratches, stickers or residue, marker/ink, or heavier discoloration. These flaws are cosmetic only and do not affect performance.
