Official Super Famicom Controller
Description
Description
The Official Super Famicom Controller is the original gamepad designed for Nintendo’s Super Famicom system, known internationally as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Featuring the iconic gray design with colorful face buttons, this controller represents one of the most recognizable and influential layouts in gaming history.
The controller includes a responsive directional pad, four face buttons, and shoulder buttons, offering precise control across a wide range of games from platformers and RPGs to fighting and action titles. Its ergonomic shape and simple layout made it a standard for future controller designs, and it remains comfortable for extended play sessions. Compared to original U.S. SNES controllers, Super Famicom controllers are known for having shorter cables (around 3 to 4 feet compared to the 7.5 foot SNES version) which can impact setup distance depending on your console placement. The wired connection ensures reliable input and full compatibility with original Super Famicom hardware.
This official Super Famicom controller is a great choice for collectors or anyone looking to experience classic gameplay with authentic hardware. This is an authentic original controller and a solid addition for those building out a Super Famicom or SNES setup.
