Destiny - Xbox One
Description
Description
Destiny - Xbox One is an online science-fiction first-person shooter from Bungie set in a distant future where humanity has been pushed back to its last safe city on Earth. Players become Guardians and choose from the Titan, Hunter, or Warlock classes before venturing across locations including Earth, the Moon, Venus, and Mars to battle alien factions and uncover the mysteries surrounding the Traveler.
Gameplay blends traditional first-person shooting with role-playing progression, collectible weapons and armor, cooperative missions, and competitive multiplayer. Players can complete story missions, patrol open environments, tackle Strikes with other Guardians, compete in the Crucible, and participate in challenging endgame activities such as raids. Character levels, equipment, subclasses, and loot provide long-term progression while encouraging repeated missions and cooperative play.
Developed by Bungie and published by Activision in 2014, Destiny launched a major new franchise from the creators of Halo. The Xbox One version requires an internet connection and access to Bungie’s online services, even for story content. Its combination of shooting, cooperative play, character progression, and shared online environments makes it an appealing choice for sci-fi and multiplayer shooter fans.
