LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy - PlayStation 2 is an action-adventure game that recreates the stories of Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi with LEGO characters, environments, and humor. Players control heroes, droids, and other familiar characters while progressing through memorable scenes and locations from the original film trilogy.
Gameplay combines platforming, combat, puzzle-solving, vehicle sequences, and character switching, with different abilities required to access certain areas. Story missions can be replayed in Free Play mode using unlocked characters, opening alternate paths and hidden collectibles. The PlayStation 2 version also supports local cooperative play, allowing a second player to join the adventure and help complete objectives, collect studs, and discover secrets throughout each level.
