LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game - PlayStation 2 is an action-adventure game that retells the stories of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Episode II – Attack of the Clones, and Episode III – Revenge of the Sith with LEGO-style humor. Players explore familiar locations, battle droids and enemies, and experience key moments from the prequel trilogy.
Gameplay combines lightsaber combat, blaster battles, platforming, puzzle-solving, and LEGO building mechanics. Different characters have unique abilities, encouraging players to switch between Jedi, droids, bounty hunters, and other heroes to overcome obstacles. Free Play mode allows unlocked characters to revisit completed stages and reach previously inaccessible areas, while two-player local cooperative play lets a second player join the adventure at nearly any time.
Developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Eidos Interactive in 2005, LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game established the formula that would define many later LEGO games.
