Resistance: Fall of Man - PlayStation 3
Description
Description
Resistance: Fall of Man - PlayStation 3 is a first-person shooter set in an alternate 1950s where Europe has been overrun by a mysterious alien force known as the Chimera. Players take control of U.S. Army Ranger Nathan Hale as he joins British forces in a desperate campaign across England and begins uncovering the truth behind the invasion and his own unusual connection to the enemy.
Gameplay combines traditional firearms with inventive science-fiction weapons, many featuring alternate firing modes that add tactical variety to combat. Players battle Chimera soldiers, creatures, and large war machines across cities, military installations, and devastated countryside. The campaign supports two-player split-screen cooperative play, while the original release also featured competitive online multiplayer with large-scale matches and multiple game modes.
Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2006, Resistance: Fall of Man was a launch title for the PlayStation 3 in North America. Its alternate-history setting, creative weapon design, large-scale battles, and dark science-fiction atmosphere helped establish one of the console’s earliest major exclusive franchises, making it an appealing choice for shooter fans and PlayStation 3 collectors.
