Mega Man Anniversary Collection - PlayStation 2 celebrates Capcom’s classic action series with a large compilation of games spanning the Blue Bomber’s early adventures. The collection includes Mega Man through Mega Man 8, covering releases from the NES, Super Nintendo, PlayStation, and other platforms while preserving the series’ signature mix of platforming, precision shooting, and Robot Master battles.
Each mainline game challenges players to defeat a group of Robot Masters, acquire their unique weapons, and use those abilities strategically against other bosses and hazards. Across the eight games, the series evolves with new movement abilities, visual styles, level designs, and supporting characters while maintaining the familiar structure of choosing stages, mastering patterns, and confronting Dr. Wily.
The collection also includes the arcade fighting games Mega Man: The Power Battle and Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, which focus on rapid boss battles using characters and enemies from across the series. Additional unlockable content includes artwork, music, and other bonus material, making the compilation a broad look at the classic era of Mega Man.
