Description
Description
Sonic Unleashed for the Nintendo Wii is a fast-paced action-platformer that sends Sonic the Hedgehog on a worldwide adventure after Dr. Eggman unleashes a powerful weapon that shatters the planet into pieces. The disaster also transforms Sonic into the powerful Werehog whenever night falls. Joined by his new companion Chip, Sonic sets out to restore the Chaos Emeralds, repair the planet, and stop Eggman's latest scheme.
Gameplay alternates between two distinct styles. Daytime stages feature Sonic's signature high-speed platforming as players race through colorful environments, grind along rails, collect rings, and blast through enemies at incredible speeds. At night, Sonic transforms into the Werehog, shifting the focus toward combat, exploration, and platforming with extendable arms that can grab enemies and reach distant ledges.
Developed by Sonic Team and Dimps and published by SEGA in 2008, the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed features level designs and gameplay tailored specifically for Nintendo's console. Travel through locations inspired by countries and cultures from around the world while helping Sonic restore the shattered planet. Whether you're expanding your Wii collection, collecting Sonic games, or looking for a mix of high-speed platforming and action, Sonic Unleashed delivers a colorful globe-spanning adventure with two very different sides of Sonic.
