Star Fox Guard - Wii U
Description
Description
Star Fox Guard - Wii U is a strategy and defense game set in the Star Fox universe, starring Slippy Toad and his uncle Grippy. Players are tasked with protecting a series of mining facilities from waves of invading robots by monitoring a network of security cameras and reacting quickly as enemies approach from multiple directions.
Star Fox Guard uses the Wii U GamePad as a central surveillance screen, displaying feeds from up to twelve cameras placed around each stage. Players switch between camera views, fire mounted weapons, and reposition their attention as different robot types attempt to sneak past defenses. Success depends on spotting threats quickly, prioritizing dangerous enemies, and managing several parts of the facility at once.
The game includes a campaign with dozens of missions, increasingly difficult enemy waves, and new robot types that introduce different behaviors and countermeasures. Players can also create custom enemy attack patterns and share them online for others to challenge. With its unusual camera-based gameplay and fast-paced multitasking, Star Fox Guard offers a distinctive spin on tower-defense-style strategy for Wii U.
